I know they do but I am not sure if hubby is willing to go all the way there for a day. We are doing Myrtle sometime in Sept/Oct.

    Good Beach?

We like Wrightsville Beach in Wilmington. When we go to the beach, we go FOR the beach. Not eateries, not shopping, not showering. We leave our house by 7 a.m. and no problems finding parking (metered lot). We bring our munchies in the cooler and when we go to leave, we use a small hose-off area for the big sand on the feet and change at the truck in the parking lot. It's a drag to drive home with sand on your seat, but anything short of a full body shower isn't gonna offer you any better results. If you go JUST for the beach, I suggest Wrightsville but stay away from the Holiday Inn area as it's very crowded.

    Gross

My family and I decided to go to Carolina Beach for the day on Saturday. Parking was not a problem but when we set foot on sand...litter was everywhere (trash can was by the lifeguard stand, not too far to walk). They had this lady with a trash stick picking up trash (so that tells me, its okay to throw trash where ever cause they have somebody to pick it up).

The water was nice and clean.

    I won't go back there
