Worst shoe product to ever be invented. Well, maybe thats harsh. Parents letting their kids wheel in eating places, stores, malls, any place there are people around...that the worst. Kids just wheel everywhere, running into people, barely missing this or that...and parents just look the other way.

No, not harsh. They are the worse things invented, ever. I refuse to let my kids have them. And I know darn well they aren't comfortable...no way they can be.

I wasn't trying to start a Heely debate...just passing along a deal! My 4 y/o LOVES them on others and I refused to pay full price...but for this price, he can wear them at home and to play in. I was just passing along a deal! Please don't hang me on a wall somewhere! ;)

I just got excited b/c i NEVER have any deals to pass on! Now I do....I hate the things on older kids, but mine is 4, he'll be lucky if he's coordinated enough to hang onto the cart and let me drag him..he won't run into you with those...walking on his own, maybe!

Heely's look like they'd be fun. However, there is significant findings that Heely's are a leading cause of emergency room visits in this country. Actually, kids are encouraged to wear helmet/elbow/knee pad gear for protecton and I've never seen one kid wearing anything like that with those shoes. I have seen a few nasty spills at a store or two.

My kid is almost six and I'm yet to relent on the Heely's, because I don't want any usage of them inside stores, malls, schools, etc. and quite frankly, I don't see the value in them. If is just for recreation, why not just get skates?

As I said, I DID NOT WANT to start a debate or discussion on Heely's. I was just passing along a deal!

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not condemning Heelys or really even care to debate something that trivial. However the facts are that they do pose considerable risks and I was merely making a statement to remind fellow parents that they can represent a risk...and possible a liability. Not to mention since many malls and stores are beginning to ban them, your kids may create a situation where you are asked to not enter with them with their Heely's on.

Other than that, a good deal is a good deal.

    Heely's???

Heely's aren't a bad idea - just some parents have no sense about where their children should be using them. In the driveway or on the street is fine, but any place skates shouldn't be allowed are the same places Heely's shouldn't be allowed. Parents wouldn't allow their kids to wear in-line skates at the Golden Corral, the mall or the grocery store but then let their kids wear Heely's to the same places. You can't blame kids for lack of thinking on the parents' part. And that's what it is, lack of thinking.
