West Johnston - what are the school hours?

Does anyone know the start and end time of WJHS? I want to try an avoid that area doing those times

 

Hey nc, is it on their website? I haven't gone and looked. Just a suggestion. They have a very comprehensive website.

I did look through the web site. I found the block schedule ... 1st block begins @ 7:40. 4th block ends @ 2:48. I thought they started earlier than that though ... maybe for homeroom? Do they dismiss @ 2:48?

 

Ahhh....not sure about that. Maybe one of the WJHS parents will log on tonite and be able to answer ya.

Good idea! There seems to be an accident every week or so during the school year at Sanders & Raleigh Rd.

 

Last year the first bell rang at 7:25. I would say anywhere between 7:00 and 7:26....:lol: Stay away....

I have to start my back roads to school myself this weekend.... (my school)

 

oh yeah don't blame you there. I live on N. Pleasant Coats road and those dang on driver devils are something else on that road, passing everyone to get to school on time. Yep got another yr coming. grrrr

Hi NCMom -- students head for their bus around 2:45, so I'd definitely avoid the area around that time.

 

I would avoid that area from about 6:45am - 7:45am and from 2:30 - 3:30. Traffic out there is TERRIBLE!! Crazy parents for carpool and even crazier kids driving! :evil:

 

If this fall is anything like last year there will be a WRECK every other day or more often along Raleigh Road.

Last year is was lethal to try to get the paper in the AM or the mail in the PM.

As my son would say (as he started 9th grade this year)

WJHS Hours

Students are allowed in the building beginning at 7:20.

Prior to that they can go to the cafeteria or congregate in front of the school or in the front lobby (or the band room).

Tardy bell for first block rings at 7:40.

4th block release bell for bus riders is at 2:48. Bell for carpoolers is at 2:53.

I have no idea what traffic is like. I arrive at 6-6:30 and generally leave about 12 hours later.

 

Traffic is terrible, I live off Sanders. Trying to make a left onto Raleigh Rd is a risky venture in the mornings!!

 

Does anyone know if DOT has looked at putting a left turn lane at Sanders & Raleigh Rd.?
