    Any Opinion's on Marco's Pizza, on 40/42 ?

I went there once, and things were very slow and disorganised.

The Pizza tasted like frozen pizza.

Is it worth going back ?

I was wondering if things got better.
Usually 1st impressions are everything, so I just wanted to see what other folks thought.

I went back to the other post about marcos. The A/C has not been working since June. It is almost Sep. They are not even trying to fix the A/C they are just waiting it until winter so they will have the heat from the back of the house warming the place. Wow what have they been doing this whole time?

Whoa! So your pizza was not necessarily undercooked but rather room temperature???

Sounds like no need to try this place, yet.

Ok, i have only gotten take out from there but every time it was really good and exactly what i ordered so the AC has never affected me. Are you sure it has been out since June? i was just in there a few weeks ago to pick up a to go order, granted it was in the evening, but it did not feel like the AC was out to me.

    mixed feelings

I've been there twice. I enjoyed the food both times - Chicken Marsala and some pasta dish. But the service was terrible - very slow. The a/c was also out on both occasions - one visit in July the other visit in August.

It's a real shame because I think the potential is there - they just need to get their act together on the service and the room temperature.

Well, from my perspective, they are a locally owned business and are just getting started, there are always kinks to work out and i will continue to support them.

I ate there twice, both times I loved the food. The second time it was very hot in there and we inquired about it. The waitress told us the people that had the space before them put in a cheap a/c unit, and within a few months they were going to be putting in a better one. Seems odd they wouldn't have done that before they opened, but maybe they wanted to see if they were going to make money first? But yes, it does get very hot in there in the summer!

Or maybe, just maybe, they were not made aware of the AC condition when they rented the space. i honestly do not know but it would make sense that the owners wanted the space occupied and may have very easily failed to mention the cheap facilities they had installed when being built:idea:

Hey Kaci I went back to re check the other Thread on Marco's. It has been since 06-04-2007 that some one has been talking about their A/C not working right. I am a big fan of the local biz, I drive my wife crazy with "we have to help the locals". I do think however that since the first part of June until now almost the first part of Srpt. they could have made some progress on the A/C. Maybe it is not their fault since they are renting a space maybe the land lord needs to repair it but I think that as some point some one would fix it.

Good point rj, maybe the landlord needs to step up since they are renting the space - wonder who the Property Manager is for that building.

I have noticed that more and more foreign run businesses tend to keep the air conditioning turned up more than usual. I assume that is more for what they are accustomed to. Since I have not yet been there I can not comment, but could this be the situation with the AC?

Both times I went the food was pretty good. They now sell beer and wine with a plus. However, the 2nd time I went the AC WAS busted. It was extremely hot. I probably won't go back until fall for this very reason. They did say they were shutting down for awhile to fix it.
