    Hi Again!

We're looking into putting our daughter into Garner United Methodist Preschool. Can anyone give me any insight into this school? Her teacher would be Mrs. Brown. We have to make a decision by tomorrow!

    Thanks!

where is that at? I am torn with my decisions that I need to make fast also.
Why is it so hard to make decisions like this? I worry that I am not making the right one.

:) I think you will like it! I have had many of friends that have put their children there! They are very nice and its a nice facility!

I had a friend who worked there briefly but she quit b/c she felt it was very regimented; also, at the preschool where we both previously worked we were allowed to be very loving and affectionate with the kids and she didn't feel like this was the norm there. But our curriculum was based on Project Enlightenment and learning through play so I think that could have made a difference in the atmosphere. I do not want to bad mouth, though, and her opinion is all I have. There was certainly nothing BAD about it. I do know that the kids were much better behaved(the difference in parents) and more prepared to be in a classroom environment at Garner UMC. I don't know if that helps at all. Good luck on that.

My DD went there, she's 11 now, so what....7 years ago?

We loved it. I don't remember her teachers name, but they were great! And I really feel like they prepared her for Kindergarten.

I have heard its great with certain types of children. They do expect the children to sit and do "classwork" and some teachers will even give checks and/ or check/plus on their "work". My daughter would have thrived on being a big kid and having the expectations of her, my son would have been in tears with that thought.

I have a different philospophy for preschol aged children, but can respect it for certain types of kids. You know your child best and the type of environment that make your child blossom!

Both of my children attended there. One of them had Mrs. Brown and she was absolutely wonderful. You will not be let down. Absolutely a great experience/enviroment for your preschooler. They are very organized and you will most likely not have a whole lot of questions because they pretty much answer everything. Mrs. Brown was absolutely wonderful with all of the children. I had one child attend there when he was 4 and I felt he was definitely prepared for K. My other was in Mrs. Brown's 3 yr old class and she did a great job with him. Good luck!

All I know about the preschool is that it has been in business for MANY years! My younger sister went there and she is 26 years old now. I remember going to her graduation ceremony. Good luck with your decision.

Both my children went there (they are 12 & 10). They had Mrs. Hunter (she's the director now) and Mrs. Brown. I can't remember other names. They did absolutely wonderful there. I highly recommend them.
