Does anyone know what happened to CTX in Clayton?

Does anyone know what happened to CTX Mortgage in Clayton? The loan officer that ran the office was Cathy Stubbs?

The number has been disconnected, emails bounce back, etc.?

 

hmmm....a friend of mine works there...I'll try to find out something

 

Anyone know where Robin Lloyd went? She did our mortagage and is wonderful!

 

Cathy Stubbs has went to a different company....no warning to employees and kicked them out of the office last week. They have opened up another office with CTX. If you need a broker PM me and I can give you her email.

Robin Lloyd left 4 years ago from CTX and no one knows what company she is working for.....

 

So I wonder what has happened to the loans Cathy was working on?

That was mighty nice of her. Robin went to Country Wide and then gone again.

 

When we had our first house with her, our loan was contracted out with another company!

 

I've dealt with Cathy twice and she was wonderful. I was talking to her about the possibility of refinancing a couple weeks ago and then she disappeared. I left her a vmail on her new number, so we'll see if I get a call back. I'm just thankful I hadn't done more than request a quote, because it would suck if I had been in the middle of the loan process.

FYI...talked to Cathy and all is well. For the record, CTX shut the office down, etc. when she handed in her resignation.

 

Robin did my first mortgage as well and she was wonderful! I can't believe CTX shut down. GarnerGirl, typically if you get a mortgage with a mortgage company it will be sold on the secondary mortgage market. My first mortgage was sold 3 times in 4 years. Luckily with our new home we are with Wachovia and they service 99% of their loans. I am keeping my fingers crossed not to be that 1%. I have several great lenders I work with if anyone needs recomendations.

 

The mortgage business is a tough one to be in right now, with interest rates the way they are. You almost have to have perfect credit to get a decent rate, and even at that, the rates aren't that good.

FWIW-If anyone needs a good lender, I have a lady that I work with who is awesome, and I'll be glad to share her information via PM.

 

i dealt with Cathy when we bought our home too but she wasn't with CTX then and she was great and we are still with the same Mortgage Company now that we started with.

 

Cathy resigned from CTX on a Friday and on Tuesday after Labor Day she threw the others out of the office so that she could keep that space for her new company…..giving the current CTX employees (her co-workers) no advance notice….:x
But CTX still has a presence in Clayton and can be currently contacted at 550-7355 which is at the HomeTowne Realty office…
