This will be the 1st time we miss the parade (well, since we moved here in 2002). Going to the WF / MD football game

I agree with you there! I went ONCE to watch a friend barrel race. Not EVER going back. :shock:

 

The buses cannot get safely through Benson, so all schools have to be out in the county. It is not as much to allow the kids to go as it is a safety issue.

 

I'm sure we'll go up there sometime, we usually do.

Hey kt... have you ever tried to navigate a bus around a horse trying to poop in the middle of the road?

That's why they started making the Friday on Mule days a vacation day. And I'm guessing the reason they are letting out early on Thursday is for the same reason... the horses keep coming earlier and earlier every year.

I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut hole there's at least half a dozen over the bridge right now.

 

makes perfect sense to close the schools in the ENTIRE county for a 'festival' ....GAWD...what is wrong with me for thinking otherwise????

Just like when I was at the draft house I am always on the look out and wondering if some of the people around me are from 4042.com.
Guess there are more people from Southern JoCo than I would have thought. 8)

 

I have only seen photos on here, so I am always looking for folks too. I am thinking of getting bumperstickers that say 'honk if you love 4042.com'!!!
