My son is riding the bus now, mainly because I simply couldn't take the traffic nightmare at Riverwood anymore. I feel your pain!

If the church is paying it they have to hire out from the dept. The police officers get that pay per hour which ever is agreed upon as off duty work.

If C3 is not paying it than it could work like it did in Raleigh. There were certain days that we had an extra platoon on to do "service deeds" then that platoon was required to that job whether it was for funerals or chuches or even sitting in the car running radar or traffic stop areas. I don't know what JCSD policy is on this matter. Our tax dollars pay for the public servants etc. so since u asked basically we are paying for the dept. to do the public service for C3......................if C3 did not hire them out for off duty work

    Here is some information

this year alone since i have been going they gave over a truck load af xmas presents to the elem. schools for kids who didn't have much, donated over 450 back packs with school supplies to middle and high school students who could not buy there own, adopted over 100 kids in one weekend, 30-40 people were babtized on each first wed, about 10-20 join each week and this is all done by the people who go to the church and they do help people alot.
they seem to always be looking at helping people and the community from what i see and im glad to be a member and to call c3 my home to worship god

Most of us do know what C3 does & does not do. C3 is constantly in the paper BIG HEADLINES to know what they do do. How is that Glorifying God? That is only bringing glory to your church/people. That right there is WRONG!!!! C3 a church to worship God ...........hm good question???
Why do u all need to brag? What you do for the good of people is for God -not to be broadcasted on headline local paper & N&O. It only matters that you please God not people. So you right there stating that your church is a church of people pleasing not of God pleasing.
Just b/c you have 10-20 people joining everyday doesn't matter. It only matters if the people are being saved for God not for your people. They need to understand every aspect of it. That is why I do not go there anymore.

Let me ask u RIFF_RAFF when your fellow people leave church why do they not follow the road rules & why do they misbehave in Restaurants right after the service? That would be what occurred Sat. night. That does not set a good example for God. I almost got hit going down 1010 past the church b/c no one wanted to stop at your stop sign. Then we went to eat at Rubys & several groups of your church people were there including leaders & they were the rudest people I ever did come by so I can only pray for them. Please don't get on your high & mighty horse either Riff..........that is not what God would want. Just putting it out there since you feel the need to speak so highly of your place of worship. Remember first is to be an example of Jesus to others...........................That is what is the most important thing show people the Love of Jesus & then lead them home. It is not the size that matters here or in heaven Riff it is where your heart is

That's great! As many of you know I don't go to C3, but I damn sure get tired of folks always trying to put the place down. It's like this folks, it's a free country, if you don't like that church, please DON'T go to it, but why do you have to criticize it? Jealous maybe, because they have a bigger following than your church, or more donations to do more outreach with?

    Please.....

    I agree whole heartedly.

Maybe their pastor told them it was the Christian thing to do?

Let's not start a Holy War. Let the people go to C3 and not judge them for the same is upon you as you don't want to be judged for your choice in your church.

To me, C3 has become nothing more than a recreation center, even looks like one, that has rock concerts every weekend,,, and therefore they need traffic control,,,, just the the recreation center called RBC center,,,, they have rock concerts and such and have the cops directing them also....... so if you want to have Starbucks coffee and watch a free concert, that is the place to be...... better safe than sorry I suppose with the traffic

Having one entrance as an entrance as one as an exit won't help the traffic situation. The majority of churchgoers would be entering at about the same time and exiting at about the same time. What would help more would be a right turn only rule. That way they wouldn't be crossing a lane of traffic to turn. If they have 2 ways to enter/exit than you wouldn't even have to deal with mass u-turns after that right turn was made. I really don't want to see a light go in there that is really only needed while services were going on.

    Great idea...

Hey, all they need is their own subdivision. The C3 Subdivision would be cute. Hey they have one being built somewhere else - I think in Utah or something - saw that on 60 minutes or something but I think it is surrounding not only a church but a campus/college as well. C3 has made Falwell proud I guess as they are a "Falwell Inspired" church and he was known to create plenty of big churches like that. As a child, I experienced some churches like C3 in NY and CT like that. I knew people who really liked that kind of church because it was like one big family. I personally like smaller and more personal but to each his own and good luck to them. It's just HUGE though.

From what I've heard about C3, it seems very evident that they are giving people what they want in their search for for a fellowship that matches their religious needs. So what if a cop is directing church traffic??? We spend taxes on much more frivilous items every day.

Yada ... Yada .... Yada .... LI-bratz, does your church have a marque sign out front? Well please tell me where it says in the bible that "You shall have a marque in front of my place of worship with quick quips of humor and frequent advertising of my BBQ & Chicken dinner fund raisers." If your church does have one, then you are the pot calling the kettle black. The key here is that C3 has a better PR group than the other chuches. When "you" provide the newspaper with a well written and picture added article they will print it.

Did anyone notice the "waco" sign out front? As a former member, it seemed appropriate.
