you know I love reading some of your crap but sometimes you just take a fun comment and make it so much more

 

I could care less about the wings, there are a gazillion places to get wings. So those TWO good comments didn't register.

This board doesn't have that kind of power over me HA.....the decision was made before I read all the comments on here.

OMG.. I can't even believe I'm going to type this.. but I couldn't have said most of what you did any better Ken. Somebody better write it down with a Sharpie that I agreed wtih Ken. All you people that have such a crappy attitude about McK's, I'm with Ken, I'm glad there are so many other places whose doorways you can darken. With the attitudes of some of you, including the OP, I wouldn't want to end up with you sitting next to me at the bar anyways. I go there to enjoy myself, not to listen to people whine & moan. I hear "BarMuda Triangle" just opened up where "I Love My Bar" used to be, why don't y'all go over there and give us your professional bar-goers critique of that place. Not to mention, I didn't hear anyone giving a eulogy to the demise of McGooos if they were such a wonderful place either. Why did they close... oh yeah.. repeated ALE violations. Atleast McKinleys doesn't have that problem... they're a little more responsible about who they'll serve alcohol to. Ohhh.. and that would be one of the main reasons they're still around... I got it now.

 

Well, I for one have given good and bad experiences at this place. Like I said my first 3 were bad and my last was good (and I'm the one who said their wings were good) and that's the only 4 times I had every walked in that place. Ken, you must have been a "regular" back in the day for Eric to even come up to you. See I think most of the complaints are from people who are not "regulars" in the first place and are treated different because they are not. Sorry, but I'm not a bar critique and I don't hang out in those type places that much, because I've got better things to do with my time, with a family and all. For those of you that like that place and haven't been treated badly, good for you. I prefer to spend my money where you are treated equal to the ones that live in those places.

Other places closing and who has good wings had nothing to do with this thread. It started out being about getting bad service from the staff at McKinley’s. I value people’s opinions on things especially coming from so many. It has saved my time and money many of times.

If you like the place then go and have a good time. I don’t remember anyone saying you should stop going there.

Whether or not you like their wings, or any wings, is beside the point. The fact remains that the comments noted were, indeed, "good". The fact that you weren't paying attention (the "didn't register") only tells us what kind of person you are, but still has no bearing. However, since they were pointed out to you, you can no longer honestly say you "have never heard anything good about that place, ever."

Thank you for pointing that out. There was a discussion not long ago wherein I wished that the user profile would contain a gender. Names are not an indication (just as Carroll O'Connor, Marion Michael Morrison, or Michael Learned). Neither is the avatar an indication (just ask lindenul). So let me see if I've got this straight? If you are a "regular" and a good tipper and potentially freinds with the owner, then you get good service? But if you aren't a "regular", you might get bad service and be harrassed about not leaving a tip because of the bad service? So how are you supposed to become one of the "regulars?" Ignore the bad service?? Just wondering................................:?

I guess his business is good enough not to have to worry about treating all his customers as regulars whether they are or not.

I think you both have it right. Buffalo wild wings is good also. I'm going to try CDH's this weekend, so I'll let you know about them too! :lol:

That is so true! Funny...my DF loves chicken wings better than anything (he ate chicken wings 3 nights out of 4 during March Madness I just knew he was going to sprout wings :shock: ).

Every restaurant/bar type place we go is based and ranked on their wings. He loves The Ale House in Garner and BWW....he likes them NUCLEAR hot and says those two places have the best.....and Hooter's is ranked too (and he swears it's the wings ).
