Since football season is in full swing, I thought it might be fun to haul out a few predictions for some games. Throw your two cents in and DON'T play favorites. Sunday: STL @ TB - I am going with Tampa Bay on this one. SD @ GB - I think that the Chargers will pull this one off. MIA @ NYJ - The 'Fins have always had trouble with the Jets. I will take the Jets if Clemmons starts. Not so sure if Pennington starts, he's too banged up. ARI @ BAL - Cards have no chance. Ravens D will shut down any resemblence of offense the Cards have. IND @ HOU - Colts all the way. Texans are a one trick pony. DET @ PHI - I think Philly will get their first win, here. The Lions still suck. MIN @ KC - Vikings. The Chiefs are a bottom of the barrel team this year. BUF @ NE - As much as I hate the Pats, they get the win......easily. SF @ PIT - Steelers. The Niners are still an unstable team. CLE @ OAK - Cleveland. Coming off their huge win over Cincy, they are stoked! Besides, Oakland still sucks. CIN @ SEA - This might be one a good game. I am taking the Bengals in OT. JAC @ DEN - With Denver at home, this one is a lock up for them. Broncos. NYG @ WAS - The Skins are hot right now and the Giants are as cold as ice. Skins. CAR @ ATL - HEY! The Panthers just might win one! Carolina. DAL @ CHI - Please! Cowboys. MNF: TEN @ NO - Saints get first win. Well.....those are mine. If I were a betting man, I would not trust my picks but I figured I would give it a shot.
As always i always pull for my favorite team, the Cowboys and my second favorite team, anyone playing against the Redskins:-D
My picks Blusdsmr, my picks are exactly like yours with the exception of the Vikings vs Chiefs, I have the Chiefs winning that one. Although i agree and i picked the Cowboys I would sure like to see them lose.
SD @ GB - I think that the Chargers will pull this one off. (I hope so) DET @ PHI - I think Philly will get their first win, here. The Lions still suck. (they're 2-0 and Philly is 0-2. How do ya figure??) DAL @ CHI - Please! Cowboys. (depends on if "good" Rex shows up or "bad" Rex) The rest, I don't care about
DET @ PHI - How I figure is this. Detroit got lucky...period. I cannot see them doing much of anything, again, this year due to Matt Millen being in the front office. He was a decent player but a horrible front office guy. He still thinks like a lineman and not a businessman. Fire Millen and the Lions may have a chance. DAL @ CHI - It does not matter which Rex shows up. The Cowboys are on a roll and Wade Phillips inherited a Bill Parcells team and the way up and still climbing, not at it's peak.
Either way the MIN/KC game will be a sloppy offensive game. Low scoring mixed with alot of turnovers. Not a big Cowboys fan, myself, either. Never liked the "pretty boys". Give me a good old Jets, Steelers, Oakland, Rams game in the 70's. Now THERE are some dirty old players. Give me Mean Joe Green, Jack Lambert, Mark Gastineau, the Youngblood brothers, etc, etc. Those guys would cleat stomp most of the pretty boys now-a-days.
Carolina might have a chance. Michael Vick has always play solid games against the Panthers. Maybe, they do have a chance today.
Yeah ...then the big tall muscular men in tight uniforms run around and get all dirty and sweaty.
:? Woman! Dont make me come down there. <btw, I have even MORE q-pons for you> I didn't move off the couch (except to pee) for HOURS yesterday! I really like football
My Boys are in action. The Cowboys that is. Yeeehaw! They are something to be reckon'd with this year! I can feel it! 8)
Well...missed a few. Some of them were quite the shocker. I never thought that the Giants would beat the Skins at all. The true upset was Denver losing at HOME against the Jags. What the heck??? I was surprised, yet happy, to see the Packers beat the Chargers just so Favre could meet or beat the records. Gotta have respect for the guy. Now the Oakland/Cleveland game was a pure toss up guess. Both teams are riding the win/loss rollercoaster this season. Let's see how tonight goes.
Again, even though I don't really like the Plowboys......I think they will hand the Hateriots one of their losses this year.
You must have done some good drugs over the weekend... I think IF the Patriots go 13-3 this season (but I really think they could be 14-2), those losses MIGHT be to Indy, Pitts, Miami (just because we always seem to lose atleast one of the 2 games to them... it's a mental thing I think) Dallas had their hay-day back in the 70's, 80's and 90's... now its our turn! I looked back, Dallas beat NE 9 games straight from 1971-1996 (both at home and at Foxboro). We've won the last 2, and are just getting started on some payback.
Ok I've had it... blus. server. One of ya'll has to change your avatar! I have been getting ya'll mixed up all freakin' day and It's still monday. So stop it already! dernit!
