My cat has suddenly decided to start pooping under the bed. I'm keeping the litter box clean so I don't know why she's doing this. She's not peeing there - just pooping. Any ideas on how I can get her to stop this??

Is anyone bothering her? Curious dog, other cats, etc? Or could she be constipated? There's usually a reason.

The only changes were - - 2 kittens stayed at our house for about a month but they're gone now. Everything else is the same.
If she has worms wouldn't it be runny - - it's not. It's normal - -which I am thankful for...easier to clean up. But I guess I need to take her and get her checked.

I don't think worms necessarily cause the "runs". But wouldn't hurt to get her checked. Another lady was having issues w/her dog on here peeing in the house, he had a bladder infection I think. Make sure you keep the litter box clean. One of mine left me little "treasures" on the rare occasion that the box wasn't clean enough to suit them. With two cats, that doesn't take very long at all! I have to stay on top of that! I swear, they both wait till the minute I scoop it to come back and dirty it up! If it's not that, you may need to change brands of litter, or litter boxes.

The day Mattie craps on the floor, her *** is gonna feel it! My hand - her ***!

Mattie was peeing on the floor (not really a lot of peeing intentially, but a bladder infection) gave her some tuna juice and she was fine.

I say lock the cat in the room where the litter box it and it will HAVE to go in there.

We didn't even bother with the community pool this year because we decided to use the pond and deck instead...I love my turtles and fish, as long as I'm floating! AND we can drink beer! :) Come on down!

Back to the pooping, though. I really wonder about the constipation, not to be "stuck" on one thought. Ha! Was watching a feral cat at MIL's house this morning and she dug in a spot and then moved on to another 3 times before settling down to business, and then she strained. Maybe she's struggling. Just something to consider. Perhaps try a teaspoon of olive or canola oil in the food, just to see?
