http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=3656711 I would probably have to go to jail if this had happened to my child.
There are good and bad daycares, just like everything else. I was blessed with mostly good ones, but I trusted my gut and I took him out of one I didn't feel was safe after seeing a couple things that raised a red flag to me. He was not in daycare for all the years leading up to school though, I only worked off and on as necessary, and I don't work full time now so he doesn't have to go to any before or after school care.
Yep! We moved when I was pregnant with our first child and I never went back to work after that. We have struggled on a single income too but it has been worth it all. I do understand that some people have no other choice than daycare and I know there are good daycares too. I'm just so thankful that I get to be with my kids at home. Since I home school, I'm really with them 24/7. (Now some days I do wonder what I was thinking.  ) I know your wife will appreciate that extra thank you Ken. We aren't in it for the kuddos, but it's always nice to feel appreciated. And I think I'd be in jail too if that was my baby kdc:evil:
Oh I know I'd be in jail... even if it wasn't my kid. Lord I want to choke whoever did that right now! ugh! :x
I haven't re-read the article, but didn't it say that this wasn't the only child it was done to? Didn't someone (adult) admit that it was an idea cooked up between the two of them?
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,298228,00.html According to the suspension order, caretaker Angela Day Gentry told police the taping incident had occurred before, and that placing the tape on the child was a "mutual" idea between herself and Kim Ball, the other caretaker in the room. How stupid can you get!!! Wonder how many other times they had done this?
