Do your parents still call you and say "Hey ________ this is Dad? or Hey this is Mom?". LOL I have known them all my life. My Dad does it all the time. So does my mom.
My mom most time just starts telling me what she thinks of me when I answer the phone. lol Things like why have you not called or I didn't like what you were wearing or my favorite one is you need to find a good man to marry and take care of you ( I have a new comeback to that one its mom I take care of myself and the only thing I need a man for I have one of them in my drawer) she then backs off that one. She also calls to ask me if I ate properly today. I guess she thinks I am 5 and gonna eat m&ms for dinner. ( thank god that woman did not raise me) Daddy calls and says hey baby it daddy so yea he does that. Maybe its a man thing?
Nope, i have 3 grown kids and i do not tell them who i am when i call, they had best already know:lol: My Mom though, when leaving a message, will say this is Mom, like after all these years i would not recognize her voice:lol:
Looooong time ago when my grandma left a message on the answering machine, she would end it by saying, "Love Grandma"
My mother, who lives right next door, will always say this first if she gets my answering machine: "Hello, this is your mother..."
Yes! They call me every Sunday. " Hi Trish, this is mom..." Gotta love the parents. Yes my family calls me Trish! Short for Patricia. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face thinking about this...:-D
My Daddy signs all his cards to me (Birthday, etc) with is full name... not Daddy or his first name. It's a running joke now.
when I answer the phone at work with 'This is Kelly' my Mom says 'This is Kelly's Mother'.... and my Dad signs all my birthday cards...'Your Pappy', they crack me up....
