The photographer could have heard police chat using a scanner and known they were on the way to Polenta to make an arrest. That is how most photographers/news reporters get their info. We toured WRAL and they have a person who's primary job is to listen to scanners and dispatch reporters.

One last thing, just went and looked at the pic, and it was 2 plain clothes officers so it probably was unmarked vehicles as well and so really no kid should have known what was going on...

exactly why I said what I said....they didn't go grab her and break out with the 'BAD BOYS BAD BOYS' theme and drag her by her hair off the playgorund....

I was listening to the abc11 news at noon, they are reporting that she was "friends" with one of the other folks arrested who was a known meth dealer. I don't know what else they have on her, I guess time will tell.

The fact that our sheriff's department felt it best to arrest her at the elementary school shows me that they don't think things through. To arrest someone on school property, especially a teacher, should mean that it is of urgent need. The tape on the television news did not look as though it was so urgent that she had to be arrest at the school.

Whether guilty or not...our sheriff screwed up again!

Now wait a minute Grace.............maybe they thought she was a flight risk if they waited and she got wind of this from friends? Once again, we don't KNOW all the reasons why they picked her up at the school.

personally I dont think so, with meth becoming more and more he is taking a stand and saying no matter where you are, who you are, or what you do you will be took down...

if you havent noticed by my other post in this thread.. I have a strong stance on this, with so many friends being on drugs and losing so much because of it.. Do what we need to do to get it gone and off the streets and away from our kids.....

So you are saying that in your opinion it was okay to arrest the teacher at the elementary school? I saw nor heard of weapons nor did I see her fighting the cops. Really, could they have not arrested her before or after school? Whether one child or a dozen saw it I think they handled it wrong.

if the kids are in class which I imagine they where then I doubt many of them saw it, they came in plain clothes, took her quielty and no fuss was made... so yep that is fine with me :)

give me a break...no kids saw it already. Look at the pictures of her arrest. She is walking out on her own with 2 plain clothes guys....before you start spouting off, just try to get the facts straight.

Like I said the 'Bad Boys Bad Boys' theme wasn't being blasted across the school PA system while she was cuffed and dragged off the playground.

You know it may just fine with you but as a mother who is raising a child that (cross my fingers) is not doing drugs I find great offense to the way you think they handled this situation. I have tried to keep my daughter away from areas where drugs, sex and alcohol are displayed (not everywhere, just parties and whatnot). I don't want her to look at people, adults, especially in authority and have no respect.

What happened to saying a child needs to respect those of authority? How would you explain to your child that his/her teacher was arrested, for what and why?

Our redneck sheriff needs to stake out Clayton High School. For goodness sakes, the fights, the drugs and let's not forget about the sex going on. Last Friday all administrative people were called to break up a fight between two girls, they were bleeding and whatnot.

It's a tough world and I want my child to respect people as long as I can!!!! Turn the world over to people grand standing and we will have a circus. Is that what you want, a circus?

The picture I saw looked like they gave her something to put in front of her to cover the cuffs so the kids couldn't see. I guess in case some of the kids looked out the windows.

One more quick note, I also noticed that one of the officers what blanked out of the photo, that tells me he is in the "field" making buys and contacts so I doubt it was tipped off by another deputy as they like to keep there guys safe while on the streets...my bet is the scanner that many TV's and Newspapers listen to minute by minute..
