The ID is for the prescriptions that a doctor wrote and the Sudafed they get all your personal info and ID
They can track presriptions already by insurance, doctors orders and so on.... so that is why the ID is asked for the OTC (limited) drugs.

Sudafed is only one of the name brands that are on the list. Any OTC drug which contains Pseudoephedrine (which includes Sudafed) is on the list. Pfizer does make Sudafed PE, which does not contain Pseudoephedrine, but regular Sudafed does.

 

It's pseudoephedrine (sp?) that has to be signed for. And poor Sudafed is getting a bad wrap.
