Nope, I am right there with the rest of you. The only thing I know is what I saw on the news and read on here. What I saw on the news was a school teacher being lead out of an elementary school in handcuffs, with police on either side. Period. That's all I have seen. Seeing that upset me because they could have done the exact same thing an hour or two earlier at her home. Why wait until she is teaching at school? What is the purpose of that? Please, someone explain that to me. Surely they had been watching the woman (almost put lady but until she is proven innocent I will await the "lady") and they had to get a warrant to arrest her. So, they time the warrant and arrest for after she is teaching in school?!? I just don't understand it. She was not heading to an airport, she had no weapons (that we know of) and was of no threat. Why did they choose to do it at a school????????????? Grace
And I agree with your comment on the over zealous law enforcement. That is exactly the point I have been making on this whole Thread. Grace
Grace, they probably had their reasons, and we may never know. We have to "respect" that the law enforment officers did the best that they could with the information that they had at the time. I was also shocked that she was picked up at the school, but I am NOT convinced there wasn't a good reason for it. I am sure the kids will be just fine. The sooner they figure out that people from all walks of life are capable of commiting crimes, the better off they will be. Sheltering is no good in my opinion.
they prob already had the warrant and been to the house and she wasnt there so they went to the school. I DONT KNOW THAT FOR SURE, but i did ask my dh why that would of been and HE GUESSED ( since he works for a PD I thought he would know ) they can serve a warrant anywhere anytime!
OMG what damage has been done, except the time we have spent here debating over respect... like you said we dont know her, maybe she is a single mom and they waited for her to go to work so her child wouldnt see, or maybe they didnt have a solid address of resident for her, you dont know, and she was not hauled off she walked on her 2 little feet and had something over her hands...
Garnergirl, yes, that is a good possiblility, my other thought was what time did the judge give the warrant? Maybe it was already after school started?
My point exactly. And, yes children are going to see all kinds of things I am just arguing this one point because it seems a bit out of place for something like this to happen. I have read the whole Thread and believe it was started to question as to why the police arrested her at school. Maybe I'm wrong on why it was setup but that's my three cents. Next time remember who to vote for or against! Grace
The point of the thread was to discuss this news story, and I was suprised they did it at the school, I NEVER said they were wrong to do so. Maybe you need to re-read it. I know exactly who to vote for.

THAT'S NOT A GOOD ENOUGH ANSWER....... you left out the part where there are no handcuffs, she walks out with two plain clothes guys, there was no rhasta men out front with kettle drums singing 'Bad Boys Bad Boys, what cha' gonna do...' there were no cop cars with lights on top, you left all that out GarnerGirl SO YOUR ANSWER ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH
