Wanted to let everyone know about this clinic. Oakland has been doing it for the past several years and it was suppose to be in the Cleveland Post this past week, but they did not run a paper for some reason or if they did it did not get to me and several other people that usually get one. Please let people know if you think they may be interested. FLU SHOT CLINIC AT OAKLAND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Dr. Lance Wheeler of Medicap Pharmacy will hold a flu shot clinic at Oakland Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Medicare and Blue Cross insurance will be filed. Private pay is $30. The clinic will be held in the Fellowship Hall, and the community is urged to attend.
OK, I"m all for people who get the flu shot BUT why have a chemical/flu intentionally injected into your body? No flu shot for me. If you start stocking up AND taking your vitamins, you'll be fine. No, I'm not a Dr.
Years ago I asked my physician about getting the shot and he said that if I was young, normally healthy, didn't work in an industry that exposed me to sick people or had a history of getting the flu every season that there wasn't a real reason for getting the shot, that the shot was derived from last years visus and just reduced your risk for getting this years, didn't prevent it like most people think it does. At least that's what I was told by my MD, hope it's correct.
For the young, the old, and the immuno-supressed, I agree on the shot. Me? I take my chances. Go thru a lot more lotion this time of year, due to all the hand-washing. Frogger
yep agree. ds gets his on the 27, my mom and dad got theirs today I am young and in good health I take my chances and leave the shots for those that really need it
