I finished reading Hannibal by Thomas Harris yesterday and read Step on a Crack by James Patterson yesterday also (I like Patterson books).

Will probably start reading the Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum today.

I just finished A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and it was a wonderful book-didn't want to put it down. I am getting ready to start The Kite Runner.

The Kite Runner was wonderful, heartbreaking, but wonderful. I almost picked up A Thousand Splendid Suns yesterday at Sams, but decided to try to get from the library instead of shelling out $15.

A Thousand Splendid Suns is heartbreaking, too, but inspiring. I had to wait for it at the library and then I only got it for a week. You will love it.

Freakonomics..by Steven Leavitt and Stephen Dubner....
great view of societal changes through factual observation...and one wonders how Chicago drug gangs have so much in common with corporate America. Or how Sumo wrestlers and teachers have a cheating scam in common. And, why the name you give your child has quantified predictors of their future income and lifestyle.

Started on 'When Th e Wind Blows' by Patterson, but the kids started flying (Kidsfly, is this where you got your handle?),that was a bit too much fantasy for me. I may go back and try again, we'll see.

I enjoy those for light reading. I have The Cat Who Ate Danish Modern and The Cat Who Knew A Cardinal, if you want to trade when you finish that one.

I just finished Shoot Him If He Runs by Stuart Woods. A great, quick read. Read You've Been Warned and I gotta say it's the WEIRDEST Patterson book I have ever read (besides the flying kids!)

I felt the same way about the flying kids, but pushed passed that and thought the book was pretty good.

My opinion during the trial was that he did it. My opinion after reading the book remains the same.
