He gave me some antibiotics, heavy duty....I was taking 2000 mgs a day. I think I may have gotten prednisone too. It healed quickly. It hurt like a mutha too......I was super lucky. The doctor gasped when I showed it to him. It was not a pretty site. Just like you see when you google the spider bite....
I was going to tell her not to look at that but then I figured the first thing she would do was look at that.

What kind of snake was it? If it was just a black snake, I wouldn't worry about it much, they are harmless, although they can give you a start! I found a 6 foot long one on my porch a few years ago, but I didn't kill him, just picked him up (yes, me!) and moved him off into the woods. I hate to see anything killed that's harmless, even a snake.

Was a black one, but like you said, any snake is a dead snake,... you be nice to it and it will come back to haunt you.... so out with it.... But I still feel very uncomfortable still in my house right now,,, I guess until something else grabs my attention....
I know my doc wouldn't touch it much either, she was like does this hurt and this and that..lol..I finally showed it to my mom last night when I got home from work and she was watching my daughter, she was like hmmm well good thing you went to the doctors with this gross looking face. It was the pictures that got me to go to the doctors to begin with it scared me enough. Sheri

I didn't even know it was a bite till I went, I'm glad I went to..the pain was bad enough to deal with it, I never did take anything for it though (the pain). I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Sheri
