With my dismal picks last week, I am bruised and battered. I guess that's what they mean by anything can happen in football. Well....here it is...week 5 and there have been some strange upsets and some very predictable games so far. There are going to be some good games this week with the 4-0 club trying to stay on top. There are going to be some old rivals battling it out as well. Bears/Packers, Jets/Giants and Lions/Skins. Looking forward to a good Football Sunday. Pass the chips..... Sunday Jacksonville at Kansas City - Tough call. I wil take the Jags on this one. Cleveland at New England - Pats. It would be nice to see Cleveland pull an upset, though. Carolina at New Orleans - Saints. Delhomme is out and Carr is in. Carr still sucks. N.Y. Jets at N.Y. Giants - J-E-T-S! Seattle at Pittsburgh - Steelers at home Atlanta at Tennessee - I will have to take the Titans at home Detroit at Washington - I am going for the Lions with an upset in this one. The Lions have yet to win at Washington...EVER and have yet to beat Joe Gibbs...EVER. Miami at Houston - Again, a tough call. I will have to go with Houston at home. Arizona at St. Louis - Red Birds all the way. Bulger is out for the Rams and Warner is going against his old team. I think he has a small score to settle. Leinart may not like the split time but it seems to be effective in keeping defenses on their heels. Tampa Bay at Indianapolis - Indy goes 5-0. San Diego at Denver - The Chargers are sucking wind but I think they may have a chance with Denver. It is a home game for the Broncos, though. In the end, I think Denver will take the show. Baltimore at San Francisco - Ravens. I don't really think the Niners have a chance, here. Chicago at Green Bay - Favre continues his winning streak. The Bears have a good defense but they have absolutely no offense. Packers go 5-0. Monday Dallas at Buffalo - Please.........Let's see Dallas walk on Buffalo skins. Bye week: Cincinnati, Minnesota, Oakland, Philadelphia. Get ready for the Bengals, Oakland and Philly to come out of this bye with a new head of steam. Oakland and Cincy will benefit the most from the bye, though.
Some really odd games. Who wold have thought that the lowly Bears would be the ones to beat Green Bay? Most of the games were right on the money, though. Never thought that the Giants would take the Jets, either. Well...there are still three undefeated teams so far. We will see how the Cowboys fare tonight. Next week, I can't wait for the Cowboys and the Patriots to square off, especially if Dallas goes 5-0 as well. Both of them will be fighting hard to hold on to that undefeated status. So far 8 good picks overall. Let's see if I can make it 9.
Gotta pull for the Cowboys...lifelong favs. On a side note, flipping channels last night and settled on the DCC try-outs. Wicked competition!! Frogger
I have this lovely image in my head of a people digging hard in their noses every time I see the title of this thread.
Dallas sucks.... they played terrible, Romo was horrible....Buffalo did everything right and should have won that game! That was like a basketball game where the last minute takes 30 to play.. geeesh! You can bet NE is already picking apart tapes of the game and getting ready to put the screws to Romo.... Lets go Patriots!!
You mean the illegal tapes? That I would not doubt. I thought last nights game was wonderful even though I am not a Dallas fan. Yeah, Romo played like crap but he did it right at the end of the game where it really counts. Buffalo tripped over their own excitement.
blah blah blah... I'm sure they recorded the game to review it like any other team did... You're just jealous, y'all thought you were getting a God in Mangini, just cuz he worked for the best doesn't mean he learned a thing. All of Belichecks greatness didn't rub off just by association, Jets got rooked on that one.
