No. For an explosion you would need oxygen. There is no oxygen in the lines.

While this is true, the FD will put up a spray to keep the surrounding areas cool(er) while the utility guys can shut down the gas.

 

They sure are cutting into the water supply.

 

I'd hate to be the one down the road digging to find a way to cut it off...

 

I cant believe they are still spraying its been 2 hours...

 

I watched this all day off and on yesterday while I was sort of working at my parents shop in Cary, that thing burned for over 5 hours. Crazy.
