Really.. I think WRAL did a story a few weeks back or maybe it was in the newspaper, NC law if there is no posted speed limit then its automatically 55 this applies to Subdivisions as well. The only time you will see a minimum posted is usually around curves...
No, that is not true my understanding at all.... especially in city's the city speed limit 35... so no posted sign in a residential area then it is 35. Not 100% about suburbs but know about the cities

I know what it was in reference to now... the child that was hit in the Plantation sub a couple weeks ago. the parents tried to say the guy was speeding but since there where no signs posted then the speed limit is 55 until signs are posted Ken here ya go... http://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bysection/chapter_20/gs_20-141.html posted speed limit signs are the recommend speed the minimum is 40 in a 55 zone and 45 in a 60 or greater zone... so if its not posted then you can run 55 but no slower than 40..
Max is 55.... then you can not go but so slow under that but you are already know this (and gg was saying see a sign - that is how fast you can go). The slow drivers (usually 15 - 20 miles under or so) can get a ticket for impeeding traffic or driving too slowly...
I don't know, sometimes it does slip by me, we have 2 cars, a truck, a travel trailer and a motorcycle. It seems like I am always renewing tags. Thank goodness you can do it online! That and the inspections wear me out!
he has all that too, and so I don't give him too much grief....try not to anyways....I just say give it to me and I'll do it...I drive those vehicles too, and I don't want to get pulled over for that dumbness....ya know?
again.... in cities like Raleigh, Angier and so on... There is a sign that says CITY WIDE SPEED LIMIT UNLESS OTHERWISE POSTED 35 and so on. So in the city there are rules in situations of back roads with no sign.
LOL! Yeah, I know! We got ready to use the camper in the spring, the tags had expired in the previous fall. I KNOW I had ordered them, the charge was on my debit card. I have NO IDEA what happened to them though, I had to go to Smithfield and pay for replacements. DUH!!!!!!
