heres a question, if you are not a member to bjs why cant you pay with cash but you can use a debit/credit card? but if you are a member you can use cash?

 

Probably because they can track your information from a credit / debit card to send you solicitation in the mail to JOIN BJ'S!! ... LOL.

I used to see that little note on their gas pumps, but if press the issue, they can't not except cold hard cash. In the print right on a dollar bill it says:

" this note is legal tender for all debts, public & private"

I don't understand with that statement being on the face of every piece of paper money that comes out of the US Treasurey how they can refuse to accept it under regular day to day business circumstances.
