My daughter just called on her way from school and was all tired because of the PSAT they took today. I told her that if she had used her brain correctly she would not be tired but would be more hyper because of the blood flow. She did not find that amusing, but I did tell her about all of your math skills on this Thread and she was excited. She was going over to an engineer's house and he was helping her but he is in Japan for a while. Glad to know we have friends on 4042 that can help. You know I am more of a historical, political, literature kind of person. Grace
Like I said, it isn't the subject matter. I'm not one of those who have bozophobia (or whatever it's called), it was simply the jerkiness. Any of the images devilock76 cited (at least on the first page) would be fine.
Showed my daughter this thread last night and she actually knew the answer. Clif...she was impressed and said she might need your help as the year progresses. Grace
I'm with you! I hate hate hate math! And guess who's got the job of trying to teach the kiddo his numbers? Anybody got any tricks of the trade on how to get a Kindergartener to remember 6,7,8,9,10 by sight? :?
Sure. Flash cards and gummi bears. Every time they get a numeral correct, give them a gummi bear. By the end of the evening, they will eat their fill. By the next evening, they'll know for the rest of their life.
I think the clown avatar is fiendishly clever. Its like reaching through the computer screen and poking someone in the eye for fun.
Thanks so much. I would not want anyone to just give the answers and she is not that type of student. I'll let her know. Grace
