     http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58185
I skimmed the bill. It does not specifically state those situations and exclusions stated by WorldNet. However, the bill language is so vague I can see the door open.
I agree with you, this group the "World Congress of Families" is pretty clueless, not to mention alarmists.
Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose. what:shock:  why:?: ugh....
Geez louise.... I skimmed the article too. Geez. *shaking head* As a homosexual woman, I even found this article disturbing and extermely unnecessary. My life partner & I have been raising our daughter to understand the differences in cultures all across the world. She knows of different relgions, different beliefs, how some families are divorced, some have two mommies (like her) or just one dad, etc. Most families do have a mom/dad, that's just the way life is but you cant discriminate against anyone because of the lifestyle or belief they choose. Taking mom & dad out? Really now? Uh, why? I think thats just idiotic. I also dont expect schools to put "Heather has two mommies" books in the school libary too. That should be taught at home, not school. Keep it simple, keep it to the point and by gosh, dont bash anyone. I dont think anyone should alter their own beliefs and I think schools should just keep religion/lifestyles out of the school systems. And really now...famous LGBT people in history? Since when is sexuality an identity? Its not my identity. Look at what they did to MAKE HISTORY. Math, Science, History, Reading, Spelling, etc. Stick to the plan, teach our kids the basics and let the parents raise their kids on how they want to. To me, it sounds like they are taking the parents out of the school systems, not just "Mom & Dad". Just ridicuous. I'm so glad I dont live in CA!!!! And I'll be DAYM if I would EVER allow the day to come when my daughter would share a restroom with a BOY!
Confession? It wasn't a confession. I just thought the article was BS. I have a right (like everyone else in this country) to have an opinion. That was just my opinion, not a confession.
I couldn't agree more! As for the original post, it's ridiculous, but that's why I'd never live in CA!
Just Arnold, from the sounds of it. Its re-election time, right? I normally dont follow anything to do with him and thats probaly one of the reasons why.
May not be loonies, but I've worked for two companies that headquartered out of CA, and have traveled there a few times, and dealt with many people from there, so they are on definitely on a different wave length than I am.
Has anybody checked out that article? I can't believe Schwarzenegger would sign a bill that really does what the article claims.
I agree. How safe would it be for a girl to go into a boy's bathroom??? I know PLENTY of girls when I was in middle school/high school that would use some pretty good excuses on why they insist on using the boy's bathroom instead of the girl's! And I dont mean to powder their noses! This is really opening up some doors. There was a video on CNN yesterday about a school out west (I think) that wanted to allow girls ages 12 & up to be able to get birth control pills from the school nurse.
What I am??? Human??? LOL Uh-huh. Do you honestly think I introduce myself with my sexual orientation? Is that really necessary? No. Did I state my opinion on the article with my point of view as being a homosexual? Yes. Confession? No. Opinion. Yes. See it as you want, I really don't care.
