Can anyone recommend a good, convenient and easy way to get a little return on good, used children's clothing? I'm tired to taking everything to Goodwill and I've never had much luck with yard sales ~ I'd like to make a little bit off of gently used clothing, especially dress clothes that have hardly been worn. I've seen various signs advertising weekend consignment sales at different places but would love to hear from someone who had used one and could give feedback. Seems like a long time ago I heard about someone using one somewhere but it seemed like it was a big headache/hassle to buy special tags, etc. for all of the stuff. Any input would be appreciated !

    Have you tried

Have you tried the children's consignment that is in alot of strip malls-know one in Goldsboro and Cary-Children's Place or something like that. I do not mean the one in the big malls that sells those cool clothes. My daughter takes alot of her kids clothes to the one in Goldsboro and either gets cash or store credit. Clothing has to be clean, in boxes, in style, in season, very good condition. Also they take cribs, walkers, etc. Visit one & check it out

The one in Goldsboro is called Once Upon A Child. They are open all week, but I think they do not take anything on Sunday. You can usually drop off and within an hour or so they will get to your stuff and let you know how much money you can get, but if you take a store credit you get a little more back. However, if you plan on taking baby clothes up to about a 2, they have so many in the store right now that they may not take many. They have a website also, just google it

    Go Craig's List
Free to POST even with Pic's.

You get the price you want. No one else gets part of your $$$.

I would bundle a group of same season & same size items together & sell as one package Price.

I bought a HUGE BOX of one boy clothes - $30.00 for over 80 items. All high end brands and worn by one child, smoke & pet free home.

Tips to mention in your ad-
    Smoke free home
    Pet Free home
    List all NAME brands
Say how many children wore the items -
3 sons might = WORN OUT
    one child not so much.

    Take & Post photos.

    Good Luck!!

You probably mean Children's Orchard in Cary-on the corner of Tryon and Walnut(at least in one direction, Holly Springs rd in another). On Wednesday you can take in up to 3 grocery bags full of stuff up until 2, I think. You have to wait but you get either cash or store credit that day; you get more store credit than cash. You can also make appts.to take in more but they usually have quite a wait. I go there and always get the store credit b/c I find lots of stuff I want while I am waiting!
