    help I need Ideas !!! ( and a miracle...)

Where the heck can I find a decent place for my mother to live.
She is in assisted living but does not need to be there any longer since she has had surgery on her leg. She is totally self sufficient. ( I would get her one of those Life Alert things no matter where she goes to live now – just in case. ) She is looking for a small apartment or home. The smaller the better for her. She would be willing to share a place with another older lady but that makes me nervous, unless I knew the person. I need to put here in a safe place and local to us in the 40/42 area, the sooner the better.
Some senior housing is out of the question due to the income restrictions. Other just have waiting lists.
Help - she is driving me nuts!!!

How about a small rental house?

    clayton residential rentals?
There's apartments on Guy Rd (don't know the name) :x
Also Amelia Church Rd by 70 - Parkside??

Across the street from the apartments on Guy Rd are small 2 bedroom patio homes. maybe someone in there is renting out one??

    They are really cute.

The ones on Old Garner Road are Chadwick and Olde School Commons. Both are full with waiting lists, I believe.
But... contact Resources for Seniors (resourcesforseniors.com) of Wake County. On the web page there are links to many senior housing options! (Their directory of resources is also awesome: you can download it, I think, or call the admin offices at 872-7933 and ask them to mail you one!)

Thanks but I have been through the resources for Seniors. You either have to have no money or be loaded. Most things are in CAry and North Raleigh if you want something with apartment only and no meals. Mom wants her own cooking. I don't blame her. I wanted to keep her local.
what about an older single person who needs someone to live with to help pay the rent? or a tiny rental house or trailer?

Move her in with you temporary. Old School COmmons is the best place for her. My grandma lived there. Rent was 460 a month and they have all kind of get togethers.

Waiting list goes pretty fast. Tell the rental lady Patricia McCloud sent ya, I used to do her hair. If it is urgent and she has no where to go she will get ya in.

Other than that, there is one in Fuquay. Forgot the name. When I used to deliver meals on wheels there was an apt place off of 401 with a lot of seniors there. Down by Timber. I forgot the name of the place, good help that is.

I'd rather sleep in my car and have root canal without any meds
    but I appreciate the thought.

(besides my place is too small and I am NOT moving to suit her)

Contact the Council on Aging at 934-6066 in Smithfield. Let them know what you are looking for and maybe they can help.
