We put a big ole plastic trash can where the water pours off (really need gutters!) on the backside of our house and it was almost full this morning!
I'm kind of curious. If the local lakes are, like, 8+ feet down, how is 1.1 inches going to really help?
I think last I paid attention the rain deficit was 9.8 inches at RDU. So over time if that deficit gets back to normal, then the lake levels should follow. I don't know what the corrolation is????
Every little bit helps? Really, wouldn't the rise in lake level depend on the drainage area, as well as the amount of rainfall? I'm sure we still need several more inches of rain to bring it back to normal.
