My daughter was on her way here and they had a bus pulled over on Polenta right at Steel Bridge. Cops were still arriving as she passed. Any one know what went on. The bus driver was outside the bus and a little boy was on the steps. Hope to God no one was hurt, I am pretty sure it was an elementary bus.

Would that be a Polenta Elem route or a Clayton route?

I don't know for sure, but I know bus drivers do have cell phones and are known to call the police when they have an unruly student. The police will come and take the child back to the school and then either have the parent pick them up or the police will take the child home!

Technically unless it is a life or death situation police who arrive on the scene do not offer medical assistance, hence the reason the fire department is dispatched to accidents as some members are actually trained as what is termed "First Responder"

As for police cars saying EMS on them, I can honestly say I haven't noticed that on any of the ones I have seen.

Thank you for answering my question I hope the little boy is alright. My daughter and I figured someone got hurt, she said there was a little boy standing on the stairs so we were hoping no one on the bus was hurt. I will tell her. Again thank you.
