    There will be a BBQ Pork Plate Benefit for medical expenses of Jane Byrd Tart on Saturday, October 27th from 11:00am - 7:00pm at Johnson Memorial Church near McGee's Crossroads. (On NC 50 down towards Benson from the CVS) There will be a Raffle Drawing at 7:30pm and a Silent Auction throughout the day. The Hickory Grove Quartet will sing at 5:00pm.

    Jane grew up on McLemore Road as a little kid. She needs a kidney transplant due to her dibetic condition. I last heard a match had been found and that they were trying to raise funds to help offset the cost of the surgery.

    We did go to Preschool Mass today at Johnson Memorial and the kids put on a great show. They really did sing their hearts out :)
