No I don't think He was cheating, Jesus' wheel was Simon. Matthew 27:32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.
And how many more threads would you like me to post this in???..or better yet I could Really? uh, NONE - This thread is about the man carrying the cross -not about attention for you ~ sorry but you ask. Now back to the man carrying the cross, what a wonderful mission he is on - kudos to him May God truly bless him
Oooo I like that! copy-paste-SAVE! lemme seeeee... I owe Mag a keyboard.... you owe me a key board ... Excellent point! :-D
God Bless the man carrying the cross..I said this in the other thread about the same subject. He could have just as easily put a C3 sticker on his $40,000 suv but it just doesn't send the same message does it??lol!
The difference between Simon the Cyrene and a set of wheels is that most Christians would have been honored to carry that cross for our Savior. Kind of fitting in a way. All the way from Bethlehem to Calvary (even the last few steps), man helped usher in his own everlasting redemption. Plus, I can't help but think there is something the Word is telling us about this man having to bear the weight of the cross all the way to Golgotha, yet at the end of that struggle, it was Jesus who would take the cross for man.
Just to clarify for anyone who is wondering, it is not going to be a actual Starbucks in c3, Starbucks has way to many rules to be in a place like has to have a certain amount of people who will travel by there everyday. It is simply going to be a regular church ran coffee shop that sells Starbucks product(beans, drinks, etc..) Hope this helps, Sorry to get anybodies hopes up that it would be a true starbucks
Not much different than my church selling Free Trade Coffee and Tea in the meet and greet after the main service. Unitarian funny story - One of the congregations took over an old sanctuary (I believe it was Baptist) and the facility was originally cross shaped and the preacher typically preached at the intersection. Well Being Unitarian Universalist that would not do, they curtained off the short leg of the cross and put a big Bunn Coffee center in that leg. A couple of laypeople from the Original congregation came back to get some property that was left behind and peaked behind the curtain. Then one said to the other "They Worship Coffee".
