I dont know about the rest of you, but I can't wait for the Black Friday ads to be leaked! :D

Since Walmart is not going to allow that to happen this year (boooo!), they are having a "special" sale that will be advertised tomorrow but on sale on Friday.

One of the items is an Acer laptop with a 14-inch LCD screen for $348.

And I also wanted to ask, we hit up the Walmart on 70 last year, about 20 minutes AFTER they opened. There was NO ONE running around, no long lines, almost everything that was on sale was still on the shelves...we were SHOCKED. When we lived in Raleigh, we were used to getting in line at 3am and "running with the bulls" as soon as the doors open! ;)
Then again, I wasn't too impressed with last year's sales though.
Still, it was nice being able to walk. :)

I have never once been to the Outlets the day after...I have heard so many horror stories about people being trampled, not that being the first person in line at Walmart is not dangerous enough! LOL

How are the sales? Is there a place to preview them before the big day?
I hope the sales are good this year, last year was blah.

it is so so just depends on what you are looking for. i dont think its that bad, i mean compared to other places there are lines but who cares! i usually find more things for myself than for others. and the only thing that i hate is the pottery isnt open at 12 :x

I used to enjoy it, but not so much anymore. I personally thought that the sales the last few years have not been all that great.

A lot of places are threatening litigation if their Black Friday ads are leaked this year.... :-(

I usually avoid shopping on this day. I usually take a random day off after Thanksgiving and go do all my shopping in one day. Most people are at work, no lines, no waiting and I still get good sales prices. This year, I think everyone is getting money on my side of the family (family cruise next Aug., so people can save up), so we only have to buy for the girls and a couple of close family friends.

I won't even leave the house that day! IMHO, all this commercialism and emphasis on shopping really ruins the CHRISTmas spirit for me.

    I can understand that. :)

I just like having one day out of the entire year where I can freely run full speed through Walmart and NOT have security chase me! ;)
