It just reminds me of a family I knew growing up.

Father goes in house and finds a family member raping his 6 yo daughter...took him in the woods and shot him dead. Man served a couple years in prison. I can tell you though, the community supported him and his family while he was away and after he returned.

 

Did you bother to look up what his crime is? The Detroit paper indicated he was 18 and inappropriately touched an underage girl (the article I saw said nothing about rape). You folks are absolutely irrational when it comes to sex, its almost like you could care less if your neighbour was a mass murder as long as they did not get a blow job by someone 2 years younger then them.

 

Exactly. Often wonder why anyone thinks 1,000 feet is some magic number....not really much distance when you think about it.

Head Found, Teens Arrested in 'Thrill Kill' Death of Decapitated Sex Offender

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two teens have been charged in the brutal decapitation death of a registered sex offender in Michigan whose headless body was left to burn in a subdivision in what prosecutors are calling a "thrill kill."

Not guilty pleas were entered Monday in Romulus District Court for Jean-Pierre Orlewicz, 17, and Alexander James Letkemann, 18, on one count each of first-degree premeditated murder, felony murder and mutilation of a corpse in the death of 26-year-old Daniel Gene-Vincent Sorensen.

"A crime like this surprises us all," Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said at a press conference. "Any time anyone kills just because they want to — and that's what the evidence seems to suggest here — is bone-chilling. Why anybody would want to do that, especially being 17 years old, it makes us think and ask a lot of questions about our society."

Prosecutors allege the men lured Sorensen to the Canton Township home of Orlewicz's grandfather.

"They lured him in the garage where they prepared a space to kill him," Worthy said.

A tarp had been spread on the garage floor, and Sorenson was stabbed multiple times in the back. His head was sawed off and his body wrapped in the tarp, authorities said.

They allegedly used a blowtorch on his hands and feet in an attempt to remove his fingerprints, officials said.

His torso was driven in a pickup truck and dumped in a Northville Township cul-de-sac where it was set on fire with gasoline. A utility crew found it the next morning, police said.

His head was dumped in the Rouge River near the border between Dearborn Heights and Detroit. It was found Saturday.

"They made plans on how they were to clean up the blood," Worthy said. "They made plans on how they were going to dispose of the body. No matter how malicious we all think it may be, it was very thought out and very methodical."

The investigation is continuing and involves other persons of interest, she said.

"I want to put a face to these people," Sorensen's father, Jim, told MyFOXDetroit on Sunday. "And if it’s a friend I want to know who would call themselves friend and do this to my son."


Police located Sorensen's truck on Friday abandoned at a Meijer parking lot in Westland, the station reports.

Sorensen had been convicted of the criminal sexual abuse of a teen between the age of 13 and 17 in Tazewell County, Ill., according to that state's sex offender registry. His troubled past had nothing to do with the murder, Worthy said.

The murder charges carry mandatory sentences of life in prison. Mutilating a corpse carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.

someone said that i should be ashamed of myself for my last post. yall are too funny . the people i feel sorry for in that crime are the poor utiliy crew guys that found his body and the families of the killers and the killed . if the sex predator was locked up for 20 or so years he would still be alive. also those teens who killed him should get death penalty.

I read the article. I think those teens are sick! They need to be sent to death. I am for all sex offenders to have longer and harsher punishments laws need to be changed so they spend more time in prison. People can not take the law into their own hands . From what I read his being killed had nothing to do with his being a sex offender.

I do believe in death for child rapist. I just think we should let it be done by the propper people gas, electric chair what ever the state we live in gives to murderer's is not too good for sex offenders even public hanging.

Although, as the article suggests, the murder does not seem to have anythign to do with him being a sex offender. Its interesting that the article flashes that out there as if it was the motive.

Again, I bet that you had numerous 18 year old and and 16 year old couples doing the same thing Friday night in Johnston County (the petting part not the cutting heads off part). Is that your solution, through them in Jail for a long long time.

Don't get me wrong, if this was an 18 year old and someone below the age of 13, I might agree with you (might even at 14 or 15) on an extended prison sentence. By the way, depending on your definition of rape, the newspaper made it clear earlier that it was only inappropriate touching involved here.

 

I see your point also. As far as the age. BUT, I think everyone knows even inappropriate touching of a child/ minor is wrong. even the actual offender knows its wrong. If they didn't know it was wrong they would be walking around town touching everyone . Thats why they hide and do it when nobodies around because they no its wrong and they know it is against the law. Just like I know its wrong to get out my car at a stop light and smack the person in front of me for putting make-up on while driving instead of paying attention to the fact that the dang light is green.I would like to smack her for being stupid but if I do indeed knock out her teeth I will go to jail. So I stay in my car ( cuss her under my breath sometimes flip her the bird) but do not hit her. Why because I know its wrong to strike another person or cause them harm and if I do I will go to jail.

Sex offenders do not get my pitty never will. They know they are in the wrong before , during and after. As far as the people who killed him they should be punished with life in prison or death.

I have subject myself to giving them the "I hate you" look when I drive past and keep my bird flipping to myself. I guess they can take the bird flipping as some sort of assault or something.

And I am one of those girls who puts on her mascara and lipstick in the car at stoplights when my car is not in motion. I never miss the light when it turns green and I have never had anyone blow their horn, shoot me a look (or the bird) and I never smeared it all over my face.

There was a lady in front of me today who stopped at the red light was putting her make-up on and missed the green light it went on yellow I was beeping at her and she didn't miss a beat with that mascara. Although her music was so loud , I could hear it in my car, so she probably couldn't hear my horn. But she saw my finger.I would loved to have let her feel my foot up her butt......but, I was taught right from wrong and know not to harm others ( and I don't think pretty does well in jail ) LMAO
