Evil conglomerate? HAHA, you got me ROTFLOL! I remember when the "Lan" part used to cut hair in Smithfield, and now he has developed half the county. Crazy world.
LOL. Son-Lan is Not evil, just a little greedy. But, I can't blame 'em...:lol: (yes, I'm jealous I'm not part-owner)
Anyone have an exact location on this?? Hopkins & Craig Development: (75.57 acres, 64 lots) Raleigh Road (SR 1330) less than 1/2 mile south of its intersection with Johnson’s Chapel Road (SR 1350) in Elevation Township.
Rumor has it, the Commissioners actually stopped a proposed Son-Lan Development from happening at their last meeting. {For now, anyway}
OK, this may not be a popular opinion, but i have found with the JoCo board, if people show up and actually voice their opinion, they listen. The problem is that folks will gripe online but not actually show up for the meeting and then complain their opinions are not listened to. If you feel strongly about something, then make the effort to actually show up in person and voice your opinion - gripping online does not do a bit of good and just makes you look like a whiner.
Hey Kaci, if you read a lot of these growth posts you will notice that some of us do actually attend these meetings and voice our opinions. The griping most times pertains to the after effects. We will save you a seat at the next meeting!
