    2. SUBDIVISIONS
    • Beulah W. Byrd: (9.04 acres, 9 lots) Freedom Road (SR 1506) less then 1/2 mile south of its intersection with Polenta Road (SR 1330) in Cleveland Township.
    • Hopkins & Craig Development: (75.57 acres, 64 lots) Raleigh Road (SR 1330) less than 1/2 mile south of its intersection with Johnson’s Chapel Road (SR 1350) in Elevation Township.
    • Middle Creek Landing (revised): (34 acres, 48 lots) Crantock Road (SR 1504) 3/10 of a mile east of its intersection with Dickinson Road (SR 1505) in Smithfield Township.

    CASE 07-39: REZONING PETITION Petition to rezone 3.84 acres located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Woodall Dairy Road (SR 1356) and Raleigh Road (SR 1330) in the Elevation Township from Agricultural Residential (AR) to Industrial-2 (I-2). Tax ID: 07F09025C. Owner/Applicant: S. T. Wooten Corporation.
    CASE 07-40: REZONING PETITION to rezone a 1.84 acre tract located on Buffalo Road (SR 1003) approximately ¼ of a mile north of its intersection with Lake Wendell Road (SR 1716) in Wilders Township from Agricultural Residential (AR) to General Business Special Use District (GB-SUD). Tax ID: 16J02040G. Applicant/ Owner: Eddy H. Green.
    SPECIAL USE PERMIT to allow for the operation of an automotive repair and service station.
    CASE 07-41: REZONING PETITION to rezone 9.76 acres of a 14.92 acre tract and 6.24 acres of a 28.59 acre tract for a total of 16 acres from Agricultural Residential (AR) to Agricultural Residential-Special Use District (AR-SUD) located along the private Portofino Drive, in Wilders Township. Portofino Drive is located along Hwy 42 East, 300 feet west of its intersection with Motorcycle Road (SR 1704). Tax ID: 16J05003C & 16K05003K. Applicant: T & S, LLC Owner: Brandi Dawn Flowers.
    SPECIAL USE PERMIT to allow for an equestrian site.

    HAHA, you got me ROTFLOL! I remember when the "Lan" part used to cut hair in Smithfield, and now he has developed half the county. Crazy world.

    LOL. Son-Lan is Not evil, just a little greedy. But, I can't blame 'em...:lol:

    Anyone have an exact location on this??

    Rumor has it, the Commissioners actually stopped a proposed Son-Lan Development from happening at their last meeting. {For now, anyway}

    OK, this may not be a popular opinion, but i have found with the JoCo board, if people show up and actually voice their opinion, they listen. The problem is that folks will gripe online but not actually show up for the meeting and then complain their opinions are not listened to. If you feel strongly about something, then make the effort to actually show up in person and voice your opinion - gripping online does not do a bit of good and just makes you look like a whiner.

    Hey Kaci, if you read a lot of these growth posts you will notice that some of us do actually attend these meetings and voice our opinions. The griping most times pertains to the after effects. We will save you a seat at the next meeting!

    I'm a betting woman and unfortunately I would HAVE to put my dough on Son-Lan these days. :evil:
