So.... my in-laws will be in town next week - YEAH! MIL is looking something FUN to do on Wednesday and or Friday. She LOVES being outside, the woman would walk down from PA if she could :lol: So smartie 4042ers, where can we take her? The pack will consist of me, DH, MIL, FIL, BIL and SIL. She mentioned museuns (gag) but I'd rather do something different than a museum. (double gag) Thought about renting a motorcycle for FIL so we ALL could go for a ride, but she's really not into that (doesn't drink and can't take her to the bar and can't sit still for more than 4 seconds) :shock: :lol:

If she loves being outside and walking, why not the NC Zoo? Not a far ride and it's one of the nicest zoos in the US. It will take the better part of the day to do that.
OMG Please keep the suggestions comming I have the same Issues, My MIL and FIL are always going like the freekin energizer bunny and every time they are here I run into the same dilemma, I even tried to play golf so that we would have something to do, then I realized that I would just be slowing them down as they are avid every day golfers and my B**BS get in the way of my swing, lol, SO PLEEEZE keep the ideas flowing and good luck Harley I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

DH suggest's Keep in mind it will probably be cold, and wanted to know what they do for fun at home? his parents are the same way, my family is so laid back they are just happy being here, where as his parents NEED to be entertained. There's also the JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State - if she's into gardens. The place is huge! Since she doesn't drink I guess the wineries wouldn't work out - but GAM - they may for you. Hinnant Family is close, just down the road from the Outlets in Smithfield - (Pine Level) Haven't been to that one yet. . .and Duplin in Rose Hill, it's been awhile and was gabbing with my aunt on the ride but I think we made it in about an hour and fifteen minutes and most of the ride was I40. They have a nice restaurant there to have lunch.
I'd be thrilled if my in-laws ever came to visit. We've been here almost 7 years and they have never come.
Get a roll of quarters and go to the Cleveland Ale house. You guys can play head -2- head on the tabletop multicade (Mrs pacman, Galaga, etc) in the lobby. That way you can drink, but she doesnt have to.
-Flea Market/Fairgrounds (though there is a wolfpack Football game in Saturday) -Outlet Mall in Smithfield -Streets at Southpoint -the leaves need raking in my yard (good physical activity )
