32, married (this time) 5 years, Domestic Goddess/SAHM to my 3 offspring ages 1-13. In my former life, I was a Quality Assurance Analyst (software tester) for 8 years. My avatar was kind of a joke - I am actually more like Laura. I lost my old avatar (Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra) if anybody can find one, I might be persuaded to change! Otherwise, I will probably wait for some hater to come along, and then I will change my avatar to mock them. I don't remember who I was mocking with Nellie.
Developer. Two phrases I'm sure you've heard one too many times... 1. Works on my machine. 2. Works as designed.
Ah, Tech Lead. Phrases you have heard in response - 1. Well, it doesn't work in Production, or Test Environment A, Ver 230.2. Which port are you using? 2. No sir, that is called a Functional Bug.
Clif - Our Developers were outside contractors, they did what Cleo said!!! The Tech Leads would get on my nerves!
They convinced you, eh? It all comes down to a simple matter of right and wrong. Developers are never wrong, and QA keeps showing them exactly where they are wrong.
