I played golf at The Neuse Golf Club today. Driving in and out I saw several golf carts on public streets that were being driven bu young kids. No way they are 16 so they have no license. These were private golf carts. In my opinion this is a very dangerous situation. Anyone know the law regarding this situation?
This Glen Laurel parents must have plenty of $$$ and very little smarts.

It is not legal. Contact the Clayton Police Department and file a complaint so they can follow up on it.

Is that all you've got to complain about after a round of golf..if it's not your kids or your neighborhood, mind your own business..better yet golf somewhere else.

It is my business when a kid on a golf cart turns in front of me on a public road.

Some towns may be more lenient than others on this. I've seen some towns where this is okay apparently because of the red/orange triangles placed on the back. Perhaps there is a exclusion for electric vehicles. I don't know, but I'd like to see the General Statutes on it.
