Desserted Bakery & Boutique

Went in there a few weeks back with my Mom. The guy working told her they were moving out of that space into the space of the ice cream shop (further down). Said they needed a space with on-site kitchen and stoves etc.

 

Oh reallly? I gotta go there on Tuesday after my Angier appt.

We did move to a larger baking area. The signs on the window say "We Have Moved"

Not sure what politics has to do with it? Based on the obnoxious attitude of this business owner a number of folks (across the political spectrum) said they would not darken this businesses door again. I was one of them and this business was not worth getting close enough to see some notice they typed. The large for Lease signs was all I needed to see.

 

What really strikes me as how rude people on this board can be to local businesses. Sad....very sad.

They get what they give.................. She was so unbelievably rude, I would never go in there, and I ususally don't take what is said on here too much to heart. I like to make my own decisions about businesses. Fact is, if you are nice to your clients, have a good, desirable product, most folks will over look a whole lot.

 

Again...I see nothing in this thread relating to any rudeness. I have read and re-read it three times looking for any posts relating to rudeness. Still....nothing. All I see is rude comments from 40/42ers.

 

It wasn't this one, it was from a while back. People have long memories for that sort of thing.

Who are they kidding...larger area...the space is smaller than the one they have. They moved because they are hurting and couldn't make the lease. The whole concept is ridiculious - maybe they should start selling lawn equipment next.

 

blus this person was one of several business owners in that little strip who invaded here one week...three or four new user names "just asking and informing" each other about these "great local new business". they were shilling for each other in an organized manner, then acted incredulous, defensive, and rude when called out on it...

 

Whoa nellie, not sure if you were at the right place or not. I liked this place better. You walked right up to the counter not all the way back. I like that it's a bakery NOT a boutuque.

Might want to get your facts straight first before posting about someone's "hurting and couldn't make the lease". That information is FALSE!

Don't see why the concepts is so ridiculous for you - someone trying to better and own their own business instead of working for "the man" Even if he falls flat on his face (which I hope doesn't happen), at least he tried!

 

I'm sooo confused now ... but it won't be the first time. I always assumed (possibly incorrectly) that the childsplay login was associated with the icecream business located in that strip mall because of the plugs "childsplay" used to make for the icecream business. I tried to view "childsplays" old postings, but none of them seem to show up. Is there a way to search posts from 2 years back ... I'm fairly sure I'm not remembering wrong. So is the new bakery not associated with the former icecream business at all? I knew that the icecream business had closed the gameroom - but are they totally out of business now? Actually, I'm not even sure where the Deserted Bakery is ... is it located in the same space where the icecream business is/was?
