Funny...I think it is stupid. If they are married currently. Isn't she already entitled to half? But it does make her out to be a money grubbin opportunist.
They are married, but what if he doesn't want to give her half? Then what? You have an odd way of looking at things.
To hire an attorney while you are still married and sue your husband who you are not divrced from? She's sueing for her half!! Why is that a weird way of viewing it? Why not divorce him now. That money is part of the marital assets including the new house he has.
A prenup has nothing to do with anything, if the couple is still married. A prenup only applies after a divorce (or death of a spouse)
