Paula Deen made one on one of the episodes I DVR'd. To tell you the truth, it looks like entirely too much trouble and money for ONE main course.

Yeah, me too. I suggested roast goose for our German Christmas dinner, and my husband counter offered with the Turduckhen.

HT carries them as well. We haven't tried one yet, but have been talking about it.

Deep fried might be the only way to try it. Is it tacky to get DH a turkey fryer for Christmas? And a turduckhen, of course.

It's not tacky if he has ever expressed an interest in having one (even in passing). Of course something to fry in it is a must. Oh, and don't forget the peanut oil.

Only every year! I've bought him every other kitchen gadget/appliance there is to have. Oh yes, peanut oil is a must. I'm getting him a knife set to carve up his venison too - same thing right?

Dear Fiance' and I were just making fun of the boxed animals in Food Lion on Sunday.....the picture looks DISGUSTING on the outside of the box, and it was $89.99....

I try to steer clear of meat that comes in a box

    90.00????

Scratch that. I think the turkey fryer will make up for it.

I know, right? that's cray (as in cray-zee). And the picture, goodness, it was gross looking.
