My meme is a PISTOL. So she isn't so sweet an Innocent. ROFL.

My mom makes her hand out bulletins at church. Well Meme doesnt like to.

So, last weekend Meme went to give another old lady a bulletin and the woman wouldnt take it. When meme hands you a bulletin, you TAKE IT.

Well, this woman wouldnt. So as she passed by meme. Meme said "well, go to hell then." My mom heard her and took her to the car and had to repremand her. Mom called me and I laughed. Bless her. If I am 94 I hope I can still tell someone to go to hell.

Meme is very hard of hearing so when she tells you to go to hell under your breath, it is like me and you saying it really loud.



When she lived at Old school commons at easter time, I guess she got bored so she would open her door and throw empty plastic easter eggs at the others, run in and shut her door like she didnt do it.

I got a call from mgmt there and had to go tell meme not to throw easter eggs for fun at people. ROFL.


Get out of her way also, she will run you over with her walker. hehe.

Scrambled eggs and cow brains! We raised beef cattle and my father made that one morning. Of course he didn't tell me until after I'd eaten it! It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't eat it again!! Also, it wasn't unusual to look in the fridge and see a cow tongue sitting in a bowl.....gross!! :shock:

My Grandmother, whom everyone refers to as Granny, whether they're related or not, turned 101 in May. Down East stock, stubborness, and attitude to match. She is as tough as English Oak, and at this stage, tells it ike it is.

The best character evaluation I've ever heard of me was from her when I was a teen. She growled at me and said, "Boy, if smartazz was an Olympics event, you'd have a gold medal." I have since tried to fit into that as my goal, and have achieved world class status..and whenever anyone tells me what a smartazz I am, I mentally thank Granny and Bless her for helping me to find my true path.

And when I tell her that I posted this, we all know what she's gonna call me...

Granny rocks!

So cool to be able to reach that stage of Meme and Granny. They've certainly earned their revered status.

They remind me of the old saying about someone being like John Wayne toilet tissue. They don't take no crap, from nobody.

I love the Grandmother stories! I love mine to pieces, she absolutely cracks me up. I think they were made of sterner stuff than we are. I hope I can be as fiesty and active as she is at her age. She's only 74, but doesn't let anything slow her down. Amazing.

ok, mine is potted meat and mayo sandwiches. brains and eggs when my daddy cooks them, oh and chicken gizzards and hearts. i had some of those a few nights ago.

brains and eggs ewwww , just saw on Racheal Raye Chocolate covered bacon and wanted to mention it. And then saw this my husband always ate beef brains and I think it was calf brains to do that to a baby cow eww
