2 In Custody Following Clayton Bank Robbery
Two people are in custody following an armed robbery at RBC Centura on Highway 70 West in Clayton. The robbery happened around 12:45pm Monday. Two people entered the bank then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Clayton Police and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office quickly set up a perimeter around the area. One person was apprehended minutes later behind Lowe’s Foods. A second suspect was apprehended in a wooded area behind Matthew’s Motors. Due to the close proximity of the search area, Clayton Middle School was briefly placed on lockdown. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

Now goes to WTSB Radio, 1090 AM. Has a front page picture of Carl & Mickey, and tells how they've purchased this 9000 watt station, etc. So maybe it's been under construction and now it's back online in its new incarnation?

Schools were in Code Yellow during this time yesterday. I had to place a call to find out what that meant and was told that all school and classroom doors were locked while students were taught. Code Yellow lets the teachers know that a crime has been committed off school grounds, in the area, and the police are in pursuit.

At least my two schools handled this right. I got the same note from West Clayton Elem, and Clayton Middle about what happened and why they were on lock down.

I'm just saying that, because I remember a couple weeks ago someones school was on lock-down and the school didn't even send anything home.

 

Grace, you know I love you, but you must drive the school crazy, one day they are going to put caller ID on their phone system! :mrgreen:

 

I 'bout crapped my pants when DS1 told me they went "code blue" and he had to hide under the tables.

This morning's N&O said "Officers followed the men... several miles until the men wrecked the SUV and fled on foot" (WMPM says they were captured virtually next door) For both reports to be true, they must have driven around in circles!!! :lol::lol::lol:

 

I didn't call the school. I called a friend who works in the system. But I laughed at the caller ID statement.
