Was wondering if there was anyone who has had this done before? I'd like to know any stories you may have on this. Thanks. http://www.tubal-reversal.net/
A very close friend of mine had this done with interesting results... Waited I think 3 or 4 months to get pregnant the "natural way" and didn't work, so they put her on something...I know what it's called but can't think of it, to help her get pregant. She ended up getting pregnant, and went to the dr and found out there were 3 babies! One of them was already dead, and one was normal looking and one was small...She ended up losing the smaller one also, but the 3rd one was born a very healthy baby boy. That was 2 years ago. This past summer she had another baby boy, very healthy, and without any medication (it actually happened very quickly!). She has since had her tubes tied again, and this time it's for good!!
Suddenly I'm remembering the Cheech and Chong skit with Jesus trying to cross the border into Mexico.
If you wanted to get a tubal is there any requirments such as age or do you have to have so many kids first before a DR will do it?
I was 22 when I had mine done. I already had two kids. Dr Marzbani doesn't like to do them. He tried to talk me out of it. Being a single mom at the time I thought it would have been the best for me. I know they suggest you have at least one child and be at least 20. Now that I'm 30 and remarried, I wish I had listened to the crazy man. Now we are considering the tubal reversal since my husband has no kids of his own besides the two I had before I met him.
I have thought about it I have one and do not want anymore. I am pretty sure I would never change my mind. The pain is still fresh in my head.
Well, if you do, It's a pretty simple out patient surgery. I was back to work in a few days (mainly cause I was a single mom and couldn't afford to miss any work) Just make sure it is what you really want. I regret mine.
I know someone who is 26 and has one child and she was told she couldn't do it because she had to have at least 2. (I do think you have to be a certain age also, but not sure what it is)
I take depro now and love the fact that its not a everyday thing. But I hate shots. I have had no problems with it like some I have heard. If the day comes I get married and he has no kids of his own and wants one we can adopt. I don't see that day coming anytime soon.
I'm not sure, maybe. Although it seems like years ago I had heard the same thing from someone else. You could always ask your ob/gyn or family dr, I'm sure they would know.
Every Doctor is different as well as every individual, every situation, regarding whether they will or won't tie your tubes. AngelEyes, I caution you as young as you are to not have your tubes tied....you are way too young, and if Prince Charming comes along later on in life, and he will, you don't want to have to deal with that, the reversal. I had twins, first try, no drugs. Had my tubes tied about a year afterwards. Simple procedure. I divorced the twins Father about 3 years later. Met Prince Charming, who is younger than me. Though he had been married before, he didn't have kids with wife #1. Every year, for 6 now, we have been together, I ask him if he IS SURE he doesn't want children. I would do it in a heartbeat, have a kid with him if thats what he wanted, go through with the reversal. If I were as young as you gals (turtle and angel) I would HAVE the reversal (in your case TP) and NOT get tied in your case (AngelEyes).
If you're talking about a tubal ligation, no. However, Dr. Berger in Chapel Hill is the leading expert in reversal. The procedure he developed has the highest success rate to date. http://www.tubal-reversal.net/ Good luck
