I don't think the problem is celebrating on a different day, I think it's the perception, whether valid or not, that Christians, having selected a day for their celebration, now seem to want to deny others the right to celebrate their own customs and traditions at that same time of year, even though they may have already been doing so before the Christians picked the time for their celebration.

I think Clif's point - and I'm sure he will correct me if I'm wrong - is that, while "the reason for the season" has a nice ring to it, it's not accurate. That doesn't mean we should not celebrate the birth of Christ at this time of year, but I don't think we have a right to claim the season as exclusively Christian.

Pretty interesting... I LOL about the rationalizing of Santa; parents lying to kids.

Taste Great Less Filling has a nice ring to it too, but it isn't accurate either. It will fill you up the same as any other lite beer will.

Clif needs to go after Miller Lite now.

    Sorry Harley.

What lying? Do you mean the poor saps who have to tell kids such lies as, "There is no Santa Claus"?

So, you agree that "The Reason for the Season" being Jesus' birth is inaccurate.

You don't have to do anything. That's what makes living in America so great.

It would be nice, though, if you didn't respond withion the quote, as that makes it more difficult to quote back.
