Whether you are for or against the books being banned, you don't have much say. The decisions are made for you by your more intelligent "comrades" in the centrally planned ...one-size-fits-all ...public school system.

 

frankly if you would like for your child to read the book buy it..

I can't answer your question about Kama Sutra or Jenna Jameson because I am not familiar with either . I wouldn't want to asnwer a question on a specific topic I know nothing about. You might want to try that sometime. I do however know about the book in question, hence my commentary.

So, you have no problem looking up "Pseudointellectual" in Wikipoedia, but somehow get confused with "Kama Sutra" and "Jenna Jameson"?

You may choose to read up on literature through wikipedia...I prefer to actually Read the book. Like the one in the original post.


I question a lot of your posts too , but you probably don't care either.

 

There is some sexual content and that is probably one of many reasons it is banned. I sort of made a broad generalization and I shouldn't have. But talk of books being taken out of school libraries alarms me even if there is profanity and sexual content for that reason-so many of the classics have some undesirable qualities but that is only a small part of the book. Although I doubt the original book in question is worth all this fuss.

I don't agree with the banning of any books from schools, but I do believe they should all be age appropriate whether it be for an elementary, middle or high school.
