Saw a sign today that the corner of 42 and Cleveland School Rd (across from CVS and that restaurant that cant seem to stay open) is the future site of a new Walgreens. YAY!! like we need something more to make that intersection suck traffic wise.
I know! I saw it on Sun and thought the same thing! Also noticed that the field past the West View elem sch (they were dismanteling the barns last week) now has a sign advertising for commerical or business offices coming, OMG! How many more EMPTY business offices do we need! I don't like all this commerical prop being mixed in with residential prop on Clev sh rd!! We have enough traffic as is!
You be slow on da uptake and da down lo'!!! JenniferS posted that on the 42 & Cornwallis thread at least 3-4 days ago!!!
Don't forget the new motel coming to 40/42. Can't remember the name but they were going before the Board of Adjustments a couple of months ago to get a waiver to the size of their sign.
And a new Rite-Aid is going to be built on the empty lot at the intersection of Shiloh and Cleveland Rd.
One day I need to go stand out in front of the Hampton and take pics of who gos in and who gos out. I maybe be able to make some extra cash! lol
Please tell me you're kidding. Really? I already can't turn onto Shiloh coming from the Middle School side. I sure hope they put a "green arrow" turning light in. Anybody looking for a house to buy? I'll cut you a great deal on one real close to a Rite Aid....
Also did you know that they are building a wal-mart behind lowes at 4042 going out toward clayton. Yes Im so glad. But they do need to do alot with traffic there.
Glad? NOT. Another WalMart. Another one. How many do we need in a 10 mile radius?  Frogger
I cannot believe that! I'm with you Jenn- I think as soon as my last one graduates in 2009, we're outta here!
Rumors, rumors, rumors! Here's another one that I won't believe until the doors open. And I'm still not holdin' my breath on the Wal-Mart, either!!!
I am not doubting what you have been told, however, I do know how rumors swirl around this place. I also have some knowledge on how those Drug Store deals work. What I would guess is that corner may be "Under Contract", which means a developer is tying it up and trying to find an end user (read Drug Store) to sell it to. Which simply put, means they may or may not close on that property, and there may or may not be a Rite-aid built there. As I have stated numerous times, "I'll believe it when they open the doors!" Of course, it's possible the sale has gone down, the plans are in the works at JoCo Planning Dept., and we'll be driving by the Rite-Aid in a year or so, BUT, I've got a dollar to your dime says it won't!!! And I still ain't holdin' my breath on the Wal-Mart!!!
