Ok I'm probably in the minority here and I feel like an arse for not knowing that school gets out early today. I have this nifty little school calender on my office wall so I know the school schedule. Well this nifty little calender got updated 12/7/07. Why in the hell didn't they send out a new calender? Or just a simple notice would have been nice! My kids in Kindergarten. He has no clue what's going on and sure as hell ain't going to tell me when school gets out early. ugh.:neutral:
The high school gets out at 11:30 am. Call the school to see when the elementary school gets out and let them know that you suggest they send something home next time. They may have and you may not have received it. Grace
Yep Yep, they started sending home reminder's at Thanksgiving, from Dixon Road Elementary, every Friday......mines get out at 1:30.
I got a phone call from the automated thing last night. DS told me about it though. I think these early release days should be better marked on the official calendar though.
OH that's how I found out. I called the school. Hubby kept telling me kiddo gets out early. I said nu-uh. He said ah-uh. I said nu-uh. He said ah-uh. I said nu-uh. He said YEAH-uh! I said NUUU-UH!! I showed him my calender... the trusty little calender. Then he pulled it up on the net. And at that moment my head exploded and I dialed the school. And that is totally a possibility that it got lost in the black hole I call "the backpack".
My son goes to West View, he gets out at 1:25. I did recieve the call last night, plus it was in the notes sent home last week and this week. But yes, they should mark it better on the website and calendar. I kind of thought it was a last minute thing they decided?
THATS what I thought I had. :lol: The "official calender" But the dern thing got updated just a few weeks ago. And the only sign of a early release day is a * I know I may seem like I'm a mountain out of a mole hill but my son rides the bus to our house and I pick him up. I leave work to get him and when I leave work at 3 and he actually gets out at 1:30... well, I'm going to kinda be a bit late. And he'll be home alone.
Luckily DH is working from home today, or I'd be right there with you........why do they let them out early anyway?? I don't get it.
I didn't....grrr. Oh well. I'm over it now. Lesson learned. Keep a check on the school calender so you don't have a quick one pulled on ya. Merry Christmas folks!
We are truly 2 kids raising kids. I am still amazed they let us leave the hospital with both of ours. :mrgreen:
