Here's a few riddles for you. NO cheating by looking them up or answering if you've heard it before. Honor system. [1.]A man is pushing his car and he stops outside of a hotel. He knows as soon as he does, that he is bankrupt. How does he know this? [2.]A man ordered a cup of coffee in a restaurant, but it had a fly in it. He called the waiter over, who took the cup and said he would get him a fresh one. He returns and the man takes a sip of the coffee and admonishes the waiter for bringing him the same cup of coffee, only without the fly. How did the man know? [3.]A guy walked into a bar and asked for a glass of water. The barman pulled a gun on him. The guys thanked the bartender and walked out. Why?
OK, guys, I couldn't stand it, so I had to google #1. I'm not going to post the answer, cuz that would be cheating, but you're both wrong. Hint: there is no red herring in that riddle.
Got the Fly in the coffee right away as I add sugar to my Brew too... Hiccups- good one, I was thinking that way but I had not hit me yet. #1 - Still thinking but I have heard it before.... think think think
1. The bank has pad locked the doors. 2. when he drank from the cup....remnance of the fly are in the bottom of the cup. The guy who walked in to ask for water was really robbing the place.
Funny you should say that, SS...because the first answer was: The guy that went into the bar had heard the barman was blind, and being a robber...the guy thought a bar with a blind barman would be an easy hit. But first he wanted to test the barman to make sure he was blind. So the guy walked into the bar with a glass of water in his hand, and then asked the barman for a glass of water. If the barman was blind, he wouldn't see the glass in the guy's hand and would proceed to get him a glass of water. The barman, who it turned out wasn't blind afterall and could clearly see the glass of water in the guy's hand, (and who had heard the rumors about himself being blind) knew he was being tested and guessed the motive behind the test. So he pulled out the gun to let the guy know that no robbery was going to take place that night. The guy, realizing his test had proven the barman was not blind, and a robbery was not in the cards for that night, said "Thank you" and walked out. But that was a bit much, so I went with the hiccups theory.
Okey dokey...here are the answers: 1. The guy was playing monopoly 2. The guy had put sugar in his coffee before he realized there was a fly in it. 3. The guy had hiccups. Now...here is today's riddle: A man lived alone in a house for two months. Nobody came to visit him and he never went out. At the end of that time, he became deranged. One night he put out the fire, turned off the lights, and walked out of the house. He was never seen or heard of again. His actions in leaving that house resulted in the deaths of 90 people. Why was that?
