    Won't be home for Christmas

Just wanted to post that this little guy found I40 and won't be home for Christmas. Didn't want everyone to still be searching for him.

When my dog disappeared I found what could have been her remnants on I-40. Very sorry to hear this.

My sympathies to the family for their loss. What a sad ending.....I had hoped the pup would be found safe and sound and returned home by Christmas....

I am so very sorry for your loss.

Sorry I had to fly out the door earlier. DH"s first dog was Hunter a full blooded black lab. We traveled from Wilmington NC to Henderson NC in an ICE STORM. Since it was an ice storm, we got pick of the litter. I chose Hunter. We lived about 1 mile from I40 in Kings Grant Subd. One day out of the blue, he started acting weird. I came home from work and he was bouncing around the subdivision, threw him in the truck and went home. DH and I went to get a movie, when we got home he *sprayed* MY wicker chair. I freaked OUT. So, we threw him outside (fenced in back yard) and he dug out, went out on 40 - got through 3 lanes of 4 on I40 and got hit. DH was devistated, needless to say.

OK, my point is - I've been there, it's not easy but every day gets better. We have pictures of Hunter in the house and it's the best thing we could have done for him is to remember him.

I don't know you, but I love you (ok, I've had a 6 pk) and hope that you can find closure - not today - but it will happen.
