Well, my grandsons hamster got out last night and ate about 1/2 a bag of m&m's. Should we begin to prepare my grandson for a shoebox funeral? Does anyone know if this will kill the hamster? Please help.....

Hmmm, I know chocolate can be poisonous to hamsters (as it can be for most animals) but I had a dog eat a TON of M&M's.... and the vet said that the type of chocolate used in M&M's was not as poisonous as the baking chocolate... so hopefully he will be fine.

    Good luck.
